I agree with your assessment of the serving size, it barely feeds two – I triple it for my family of four. I also puree the whole thing with the immersion blender at the end, and add more broth as needed to thin it out a little bit. The fragrance and flavor are wonderful, people who “don’t like garbanzos” and people who “don’t like rosemary” have both told me they love this soup!

Rich – the garlic never goes back into the soup. It’s used to flavor the oil. If you like to eat garlic cloves, you could probably dump it back into the soup with the tomatoes.
