These are amazing! So light and delicate, they are even a worthy breakfast treat for Thanksgiving or Christmas morning when you just want to pop a little something sweet in your mouth and go about your buisness. The only thing I did differently was shook the slightly cooled muffins in powdered sugar (that’s what my son loves!) instead of the butter and cin-sugar. Excellent! Will certainly be making these often!

Hi Colleen – I’m so glad you like the “donuts”. It’s definitely the season for making them. I actually forgot about this recipe. I’m going to make them again this week.

I have made these “donuts” quite a few times recently. Tis the season for baking with apples. They are so yummy. Everyone loves them! Looking forward to trying the Cinnamon Applesauce Muffins!

By the way, When your father said “in twenty years”, I calmly wrote the date on the recipe and twenty years later served it again. Twenty years seems like a long time, but it goes by in a flash, trust me. Sometimes he wishes he said, “50 years”!
