Hi Rosa,

I’m so glad that you and the boys liked them. I haven’t made them in a while. I think I’ll make some this afternoon.

I just made these crackers and they turned out amazing! My picky boys (2 and 3) are gobbling them up as I type this. I will be making this often. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Hi Baron,

Thanks for your question. The recipe does indeed say “Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface until 1/2-inch thick or even thinner”. Those instructions came from Mark Bittman. I made mine MUCH thinner than 1/2 inch. Mine were closer to 1/8″ thick. That said, my dough was not totally even. My edges were a little thinner and the edges got quite brown before the middle of the dough started to brown, so definitely try to keep the dough as even as you can. I hope you like these. I really like them, and they’re so easy to make.

I hope you meant more like 1/4 or 1/8 or something 1/2 inch seems way too

Some people even use their hands. It’s slower than a Cuisinart, but it gets the job done. 🙂

Unfortunately I can’t think of a substitute for a food processor for this recipe. You might try a stand-mixer with a hook. If you do, please let me know how it works.

my kids would LOVE these…and I hate buying cheeze-its for the same reasons, so expensive and lots of “extras” in the ingredient list.

i do think you should make 4 “sheets” so that each boy can break the crackers over their face! how else are you going to inspire culinary creativity in your house?
